The hotel comes with 2 mounting plates made of galvanised steel, the drilled log is made of broadleaf wood: birch or alder, the bumblebee compartment must be filled with a handful of hay (push it with a stick through the entrance hole) which the female will use to make the wax cells of the nest, the reed compartments covered with mesh protecting against birds, varied composition of filling material (drilled logs, reeds, terracotta pots with clay, cones, compartments for bumblebees, ladybirds and butterflies) makes it one of the most versatile insect nest box in MKW offer in terms of habitat variety.
